Questions

Questions:
Why do we live in a world obsessed with the idea of domination? Is war a necessary alternative to find peace in our lives? Are our identities defined by solely by our nationality? By our character? Or those who surround us? And why do our identities provide bias towards people unlike us? Why must we feel the need to accept people only similar to us? Can we not accept other cultures for who they are and where they come from? If people have different beliefs or values, why do we not take them for who they are? How is it that some devote their entire lives striving for peace, and are left with nothing? Does their effort mean anything if nothing is changed? Is it for the hope that they will someday help others? Would they still help if their efforts were not recognized? Would they help if their name would never be remembered? Why do people try to escape to a world of false realties when they know they are just pretending? Does it lessen the pain of the suffering of those they know, or those they don’t know?
