DAVID and GOLIATH
As Goliath put on his helmet and 2XL pads, David trembled with fear for his first forced-to-play-in high school football game. It wasn’t his fault he was barely five feet and almost 110 pounds! He had always blamed it on stupid genes. Goliath on the other hand was ready to take on whatever obstacles faced him in the big game. Of course it just so happened that David and Goliath were in the same position that game. When the ball was thrown, David ran as fast as he could in fear of Goliath coming to tackle him, but just couldn’t make it. When Goliath jumped to tackle that “small boy on the other team,” David dodged from underneath him and Goliath ended up stumbling, breaking his ankle, and being unable to play for several weeks. As he ached in pain on the field, David ran to score the only touchdown of the game, making him the smallest kid in history to win a high school football game.
