Old people are Good people too.
One late evening a strapping young lad named Kyle was walking out of the local pub when he fell down and hurt his ankle. Sitting there on the sidewalk in pain he wondered if anyone was going to come and help him. Still tipsy Kyle sat quietly holding his aching ankle while people past him on the sidewalk. After an hour or so he started asking people to help him get home, however each person he asked blew him off and told him to get lost. Even though he could not walk he scuffled over to the side of the pub so he could lean up against the wall. As it was getting late and the people walking on this particular street were getting few and far between, he started to worry that no one was going to help him and that his towns people were stuck up snobs who would not take five minutes of their time to help him. Hoping that someone was going to help him so he would not have to sleep out side in the cold, an older lady who looked like she lived with cats was walking up the street. She was holding a plastic bag that looked like it was filled with cotton balls since it looks filled out but not heavy and talking to her self about god knows what. As she was getting closer and closer, Kyle was not expecting anything since for the past few hours all sorts of people walked right past him to their destination. A few minutes later she was standing in front of him asking “ sir, would you like some help?” Shocked that this raggedy old lady stopped and asked if he needed help, Kyle was speechless for a few seconds before he was able to say “yes.” This opened up Kyle’s eyes to the reality that no matter what age or gender of a person, they can and will show kindness and help those in need.
