Promiscious Girl Myra/ Interesting Book

I really enjoyed the Mineola Twins and How I learned to Drive plays a lot. The humorous comments and the jokes kept me interested in the play. It was different from all the other books we have read. It was more revealing unlike “The Secret Life of Bees” or “Night”. A character from The Mineola Twins named Myra is often the butt of all the jokes referring to her as being very promiscious.

"Jim: Whoops.....What about the captain of the wrestling team?
Myrna:Myra was pinned on the mat in round one!
Jim: Track?
Myrna: Myra's Three Minute Mile
Jim: Golf Team?
Myrna: Myra's Hole-in- "

It was one of the more entertaining books for me and plus it was an easy read. The book “Night” took me 5 hours to read 100 pages. This was without distractions. This book was more fun allowing me to get through this book quicker. Using humor, it allowed me to stay awake while reading the book. It gave me a little laugh. I actually enjoyed this book out of all the books I’ve read at Sacred Heart. The last book I read and enjoyed was “Holes”, which i read in 6th grade. It is plays/books like this that make me want to read, not like books like “Fahrenheit 451” or “Underground Man”. Also, ithe play talk about pedophilia, rebellion against society, homosexuality, blowing up abortion clinics, not your normal topics in a private school English class. If you don’t already know, I don’t enjoy reading but this book was an exception. I enjoyed myself and I think that Paula Vogel did a extremely great job on both of these plays. I would highly recommend them to any reader that’s looking for a great read. Hella.
